This Week at the Market - July 12

What a wonderful Saturday. Hot, yes. Windy, yes. But under the tent it is always a summer paradise. Don't you  agree that the music this summer is top rate? Thank you City of Swift Current for providing such a nice atmosphere.

Hey, did you notice the picnic benches on 1 Ave NE? Perhaps I am just a tad slow but I just noticed them today. It is a quiet place to regroup. Sit in the shade.

Every week now you will find more and more produce as the gardens mature. Already we have strawberries. This week...maybe...peas will be ready. Cross your fingers. Baby potatoes are here. Hey, little cabbages and cauliflower are ready.

Sorry that the BC Fruit truck wasn't there last week. They blew their motor with a truckload of fresh fruit. Makes me sick how they must have felt, sitting with fruit in this hot summer heat. They called at 7:30 am to let us know they wouldn't be here. Thoughtful even with this dilemma.

Strawberries are here! And fresh herbs and hot peppers also. Baby potatoes and possibly peas this week.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made it possible. Thank you to the Museum, the Art Gallery, the Lyric. Am I missing anyone? I'm sure I could thank almost every person in town.
